Estimated Costs: In addition to the program fee, students will book their own flights and be charged tuition for their courses.

The out of state tuition for classes associated with travel are discounted from the Fall and Spring rates.

Scholarships up to $1,500 are available to support CofC degree seeking students. Eligibility is based on demonstrated financial need, academic merit, 2 faculty recommendations and a personal statement. Program Description

COURSE INFORMATION:

ARTH 340: History of Architecture and Preservation in London and Paris (3 cr)
URST 398: Urbanism in London and Paris (3 cr)

PROGRAM INFORMATION:

This travel program to London and Paris allows for students to compare two of the great historic cities in terms of their built environment including architecture, Urban Design, Art and Preservation. It will include special visits related to the program, such as a visit at the Prince of Wales Institute for instance. Day trips to Bath, Versailles, Cambridge, and other day trips will provide some contexts for the program.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

-Students must have an overall GPA of 2.5
-Students must already possess a valid passport or be eligible to obtain a valid passport

Professor Muldrow has directed numerous study abroad programs, especially to London and Paris. He has taught Architectural Design and History at the College of Charleston for 20 years and is also an architect.

Dr. Keenan is the Director of Urban Studies and teaches a variety of courses on urbanization, suburbia, history and theory of planning, and geographic information systems. He has taught at the College for 8 years and is certified by the American Institute of Certified planners.
