PROGRAM INFORMATION:

This will be a hands-on academic experience for students who are ready to learn beyond the classroom walls. First we will embark on a series of public health case studies in Budapest to address questions of who has access to health and who does not. We will visit parks, spas, hot spots, and speak with locals about healthcare beliefs and practices. We will head to Italy and Greece to learn health communication through Mediterranean diet and lifestyle. We will learn from food growers and chefs, prepare foods, and create health education materials. Cultural immersion opportunities abound in the markets and piazzas as well as the opportunity to see classic sites like the Coliseum, Sistine Chapel, and Parthenon. Note: you will have some free days to travel if you choose. Also, because your flight is not included in the price, you may travel before or after the program
