Estimated Costs: In addition to the program fee, students will be charged for tuition as follows:

Program Description

COURSE INFORMATION:

Students will take the following two courses:

ARTH 340: Art, Architecture and Preservation in London and Paris - 3 credits
ARTH 340: Urbanism in London and Paris - 3 credits

PROGRAM INFORMATION:

This program will explore some of the most significant works in the areas of Architecture, Urban Design, Preservation and Art both in London and Paris and their environs. While in London students will visit such sites as Westminster Abbey, Marble House, the National Art Museum, Trafalgar Square, and the Wren Churches. Day excursions to Dorset and Brighton are included. While in Paris, students will visit Notre Dame, The Louvre, the Champs Elysee, Monmartre, Chartres Cathedral and the Musee D’Orsay.

Participants in this program should be able to walk for long periods of time and climb stairs.

Professor Muldrow is the Simons Professor of Architecture and Preservation at the College of Charleston. He has previously directed study abroad programs in England and France, with the most recent time in 2014.
