FREN 390: Special Topics in French - 3 credits
LTFR 250: Francophone Literature in Translation - 3 credits

PROGRAM INFORMATION:

Students will stay in Grans in the Provence region of France and will have three meals a day as well as packed lunches for excursion days. It is a beautiful part of Provence which allows for easy access to the most interesting sites of the region. Visits will include Avignon, St. Remy de Provence, Les-Baux-de-Provence, Glanum, Le Pont du Gard, Arles, Nimes, Cassis, Fontvieille and Salon de Provence.

Classes will be given in the morning. French 314 is a conversation class which will consist of discussions on current issues, films, presentations as well as a daily journal based on French newspaper articles. French 390 will help students understand the history of the region by keeping a journal of all the sites visited and by being our guide on one of our excursions (students will draw a topic around March 15 and will have the research ready by the time they get to the Domaine).

This program involves walking for long periods of time on a daily basis. Students should also be able to swim.
