Estimated Costs: In addition to the program fee, students will be charged for tuition as follows:
- 2014-15 in-state tuition rate for six credits- $2,640 (does not include associated fees)
- 2014-15 out-of-state tuition rate for six credits at the in-state + 30% rate- $3,432 (does not include associated fees)
Program Description

COURSE INFORMATION:

Students take the following two courses:

MGMT 391: The International Corporation - A Comparative Approach - 3 credits
HIST 241: Contemporary Europe - 3 credits

PROGRAM INFORMATION:

This program is now in its 35th year (16 programs in total) and is open to any interested student (undergraduate or graduate), professional managers, and informed laypersons seeking increased understanding of modern management policies and practices within the European Union as well as within the historical context of Western Europe. We expect to visit corporations such as BMW, Bosch, BASF, DaimlerChrysler, AstenJohnson, and Picanol as well as the European Union and the inland Port of Antwerp. We also will visit historic sites such as Nuremberg, Cologne, Aachen, the Battle of the Buldge, Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent/Bruges, Ypers, Verdun, the Maginot Line, and Trier.

Participants should expect a considerable amount of walking. Also, many sites do not have handicapped access.

Dr. Salvaggio has considerable experience with this particular study abroad program. He has extensive international management experience and teaching experience in the international arena. His academic interest is in economic and partnership development related to international businesses and entrepreneurs operating both in SC and Western Europe as well as human and port infrastructure issues that impact global operations with a focus on relationships.

Dr. Olejniczak has considerable experience with this particular study abroad program. He has taught at the university level in Paris, France. His academic interest is in Contemporary Western Europe including the WWI, WWII, and the European Union.
