Program Description

The American College of Greece (ACG) is a private university located in Athens, Greece that has been educating students for more than 140 years. ACG is home to more than 2,500 students from over 50 different countries. The campus is set on a hillside overlooking Athens and has many resources available for students including an excellent library and an Olympic sized swimming pool. The Office of Residential and International Student Services and the Outdoor Recreation Office organize opportunities for students to explore historical and cultural sites in Greece.


Eligibility: Students must have a 2.5 GPA.

Program Dates: Students may attend the American College of Greece for the fall semester (September to December) or spring semester (January to May).

Cost: Students pay College of Charleston tuition and fees to study at ACG. Students are responsible for their housing, meals, airfare and incidentals. Most CofC financial aid will apply.

Housing: Students can apply for university housing with ACG. students can select between a double or single room in a shared apartment or a private studio. Students will prepare their own meals.

Subjects Offered: Undergraduate courses in a wide range of subjects available. More than 1,000 courses are taught each year at ACG. All are available to CofC students except for Business courses which will not be accepted by CofC for transfer credit.

Credit: The courses taken at ACG must be pre-approved by the appropriate academic department for potential transfer credit.
