Returning Students

Welcome back! We know you're excited to share your experiences from abroad with anyone and everyone, so we've compiled some resources for you to channel that energy. Best wishes as you continue your international experience and we hope that you will continue to visit our office for questions, information, and to contribute to our knowledge.

General Academic/Financial Considerations

  • Transcripts
    • If you will be earning credit from an institution other than CofC, you are responsible for providing the institution with our mailing address to send your transcript.
      • Exchange: College of Charleston
                       Center for International Education
                       Attn: Melissa Ochal
                       66 George Street
                       Charleston, SC 29424
      • Affiliate:  College of Charleston
                       Center for International Education
                       Attn: Sarah Simmonite
                       66 George Street
                       Charleston, SC 29424
    • Please be patient as we wait to receive your transcript. International institutions operate on different timelines than those in the United States. It may take up to three (3) months for your transcript to arrive. We will process your transcript as soon as possible, typically within one business day of receipt. It will then be forwarded to the Registrar's Office to be posted to your DegreeWorks. Copies and dates of receipt of your transcript can be viewed under Evaluation Forms on your AbroadOffice account.
  • Financial Aid
    • Please contact the Financial Aid Office regarding any questions about your award package, scholarships, and payment plans.
    • As a result of the potential delay in receiving your transcript, it may be necessary to set up a payment plan for your tuition and fees until your financial aid/scholarships can be released.
